[Then people told me about vagus nerve stimulation. In Quebec, we don’t offer this service in the health system. But some people explained to me that we could do these exercises ourselves, mechanically, manually, it’s very simple, massaging the ears, massaging the back of the neck, the eyes, it’s all very simple. For me, it’s been more than helpful, it’s been downright miraculous, the incredible pain and suffering disappeared in just a few weeks. So, in the alternative treatments, there were these massages, meditation and exposure to the cold, the extreme cold. So yes, these are things I did on my own, things I wouldn’t have been advised to do by doctors, and I know which… the effect was very, very, very significant. So I’d like to see more things tried in Quebec. I’d like to see the healthcare system really mobilize resources to help us. We know that there’s something in the vagus nerve, and science is quite advanced on that front. So I think we’re at the stage of… of trying to find ways of treating ourselves. Research has got off to a good start.] Translation from original French.
