… and I told him that if I don’t, if I’m not able to do everything I want to do, I would like to have my life ended with assistance. And I could tell there was no way he would want to have anything to do with that. And he said, ‘Well, I would do everything I could to make sure your quality of life didn’t deteriorate so you had to make that decision.’ And I said, ‘I appreciate that, and that’s what I would prefer, but if it comes to the point where my quality of life stinks as far as I’m concerned – it might not as far as you’re concerned, but I’m the one living it – if I don’t want to live it …’ And he didn’t even want to go there. So I thought, well, why cross that bridge until you have to? But I wish that – the ability to talk to somebody about that so that I could have my ducks all lined up in a row would make me more relaxed.
