Cathy has to schedule conversations because talking causes her pain and breathlessness.
Transcript
I still, after two years, I schedule my talking time per day. I’m talking to you. I might talk with you for an hour or so and that will be pretty much it. With my friends, my family, they know. If they call and I say, well, I already talked to my cousin today. And they know, like, OK, like, that’s enough because if I keep talking and I have multiple conversations, again, I can’t get my breath and the burning begins again. So it becomes incredibly lonely when you need somebody to talk to because you’re terrified about your illness and you can’t talk.
