Christine is only allowed to use her sick days midweek even though a Monday or Friday would give her more recovery time.

I took every Tuesday off because I went to massage, acupuncture, and reflexology. And I went every Tuesday and I did all my three appointments on one day … And nobody said anything to me because it was a Tuesday. If I had said Monday or Friday, then I would have had flack from my school division, because they were after people the last couple of years for taking Monday and Friday … If I was in the city it would be different because I could just go – run around. I could do it – and I could pop out for half an hour during a prep or something like that especially when they’re very short sessions. But this – I can’t do it. You have to make the – in fact I used to have to drive the night before. So I’d go to work on Monday, get in the car, drive to Regina, stay overnight, do the appointments, and drive back. And then I’d be a bag of hammers because, for me now, going to the city – there’s the other part of it – it takes me out for a couple of days – within 24 to 48 hours, I’ll crash … See, if it was on a Friday then my crash would be Sunday and I’d be fine for work but they don’t want to hear that.
