Katherine finds validation through her support group.
Transcript
And I think, probably, the thing I’m the most grateful for right now is the community that I found here in Alberta, called the COVID Long-Hauler’s Support Group. It’s on Facebook. There are thousands of us. And as different as each individual experience has been, there are some commonalities in there that, I guess, again, the word I keep coming back to is “validating.” Because I think if I were going through this by myself, I would sincerely think I had lost my mind. … I have a lovely family and friends who do support me in most aspects of my life. But the amount of information, or the understanding of long COVID, very slim. And maybe that’s what drives me to these support groups and focus groups where I can talk to other people who have experienced long COVID or are experiencing long COVID.
