Like, this is how they spoke to me; “I believe you and you are in good hands. I’m here for you every step of the way.” That was what the infectious disease specialist said to me. She’s like, “I’m not going to close your case until we’re ready to.” And just, I felt so heard and validated, and I think that sometimes just takes that little bit of edge off, you know, because there’s no fight. I’m already fighting in so many other ways, I don’t want to have to fight with healthcare professionals to believe my story.
