Age at interview: 47

Angela has been suffering with long-term symptoms from COVID for 4-5 months after her initial infection in January 2022. Angela has been coping with breathing issues, brain fog, and inflammation that has led to sciatica in her leg. Angela has been working closely with a naturopath and seeing allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists, acupuncturists, and massage therapist, to cope with her pain and other long-COVID symptoms. Dealing with long-term symptoms is frustrating for Angela, but she is hopeful that she will return to her old self and be back at to running her own business full-time. In the meantime, she focuses on upcoming family life events and vacations to keep her spirits high. Her hope for people living with long-COVID is that more supports will be made available to support patients both financially and physically (i.e., coping with both symptoms and mental health). She also hopes that more patients will talk about their long-COVID to help others understand what it is like to live with these on-going symptoms. She also wishes that medical doctors were more willing to consider all possible treatments as the medical field is still learning about long-COVID and better understanding how to support patients.
