Interviewer: So did you – did you share with your doctor, you know, the way you were feeling because of the changes in your body? Like, did she know about the eating disorder?
Absolutely. She knew about my eating disorder. I’d been very open with her. In fact, we were even – I was even being weighed on the scale backwards. That’s something that – I felt like I didn’t want to know my weight, so I said to my doctor, “Just tell me if there’s something wrong.” And I never heard anything about it, and so I assumed everything was going well. And I did – because I wanted to be really careful, and I knew that -well, I was scared of going back into my eating disorder after I had the baby because of the weight change. So I had actually been referred to a mental health program – a perinatal mental health program. And I was assessed there. I’m seeing a psychiatrist, but not really – I mean, it was mostly just to check in. It wasn’t really anything intensive. And like I said, it was – it was related to – I was scared that I would fall back into my eating disorder. That was my main concern.
