So I had suffered with anxiety most of my life but prior to pregnancy I had done therapy so I was feeling really great for, I don’t know, maybe a year or two. So no anxiety symptoms or depression. Once I got pregnant anxiety started to come back. It got pretty bad but then I went to therapy again and it felt OK. And then going into the birth I felt great and then just shortly after he was born I was hit with postpartum depression very severely. Anxiety, as well as OCD. So, just maybe, like, even a day or two after he was born it started.
Interviewer: All right. Can you tell me a little bit about your pregnancy. So were you taking any medications before you got pregnant?
No. So I was never medicated. So through the pregnancy just going back to therapy, I was able to manage my symptoms, feeling OK, so I decided not to do medication. Again, then he was born and things took a turn for the worst, so that’s when I at that point decided I needed to do medication.
