Research Coordinator

Asha Ulusow is a dedicated advocate and a Research Coordinator at Women’s College Hospital – Research and Innovation Institute in the Women and HIV Research Program (WHRP). She guides various research projects with a focus on ensuring that community (mainly women and youth) needs are prioritized. Her work includes founding the Harnessing Opportunities for Progress through Lived Experience (HOPE) Research Program, which is a community-led, participatory research program dedicated to African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) individuals in Ontario who acquired HIV before the age of 16. Its vision is to create an inclusive and equitable platform that centers the voices of these often-overlooked communities to uncover systemic barriers, foster resilience, and drive policy changes.
