Ilja Ormel, MSc PH, PhD

Senior Qualitative Researcher

Ilja has worked for this initiative since its beginning in 2011 and has contributed to building the research team and led and supported the development of the published modules and other outputs on the website. She is currently supporting the development of the module perinatal mental health issues during and after pregnancy. Ilja works at the Canadian Red Cross in the Health in Emergencies department as a senior manager Health Intelligence, Research and Development and is an adjunct lecturer at McMaster University. Her research interests include participatory and operational research in emergency and disaster settings, humanitarian health research, disease outbreaks, and health promotion.
