Cher is bedbound and this has caused tensions between her and her husband.

With my husband, it’s been interesting. Because I have never felt like I was a jealous person before, but there’s definitely been some strange times where we’ve both had to acclimate and kind of learn how to talk to each other differently than we had before. Because, of course, he still has a life. Right? He still gets to go out and do things with people. And leave the bedroom. And I don’t. So, yeah, that’s – there’s been some times when I’ve kind of assumed that he didn’t want to be here with me, didn’t want to have to deal with an invalid wife and take care of me, rather than doing all of the things that he wants to do for his life. And then, of course, because that hurts, then you get defensive, and so then we have fights, and blah, blah, blah. At one point in time, I was like, “You know what, I’m just going to go call a convalescent care home and go in a home, because I don’t want to be here being a burden to the rest of my family. I want them to be able to live their lives.” But we did a few sessions of couples counselling after that, and … Yeah. We’ve been together for 28 years, so it’s definitely easier than somebody that was newly married, or maybe didn’t know their spouse as well. But yeah, we’re still having to figure it out on a daily basis.
