Canadian Women’s Experiences of Heart Failure

Final recruitment of patients from diverse backgrounds!

We are nearly finished recruiting for this study, but to make sure that the results are relevant to as many people as possible, we invite those from different social and cultural backgrounds to share their stories. This would include people from communities such as LGBTQ2S+, immigrants, black, Indigenous, other racialized groups, and any others. This project is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and we are seeking to gather individual stories from about 50 women across Canada through interviews on Zoom. With these interviews we will create an online information resource where women living with heart failure, professionals and others can learn from your experiences.

This study will contribute to efforts to improve the quality of care. Short clips from all participants will help to illustrate key issues important to women living with heart failure. Results will be presented at healthexperiences.ca.
