Paulina would like someone she could speak to freely but found private counsellors to be unaffordable.

I: Do you know how long the wait list is for a counsellor?
LC18: It’s very, very long because of COVID. Because a lot of people are struggling … I tried to go privately but again it’s – I didn’t realize how expensive it is and I don’t have benefits, my husband doesn’t have benefits anymore either. So that’s totally out of the question … everybody’s online now right? So it would probably be online. But yeah, I think I did find, like, one person and then their rate was $375 an hour and I was like – yikes. So. I had to politely decline … I really don’t have anyone to talk to. I don’t want to burden anybody like, in my family. And I think they’re kind of like – not annoyed but just tired of hearing of it. Like it is like, every day I’m like, oh I feel so shitty. I think they’re just tired of hearing of it. Not because they don’t care, but because it’s like, OK, yeah, we know. It would be nice to talk to somebody freely.
