I wanted to volunteer. So, once I finished that program I applied and started volunteering at VGH. And I would take the women’s blood pressures and that sort of thing. And so, there was, you know, the case manager was so busy. She’s fantastic, but she’s putting monitors on people and stuff, and I wanted to be able to take people’s blood pressures and sort of connect with them. And ‘how is this going for you’, ‘oh you’re new’, ‘this happened to me too’. And that sort of connection. So those two sorts of things that were happening at the same time, were really fulfilling and the feedback we got from these groups was fantastic.
