Hearing Andrea's thoughts of self-harm was deeply traumatic for her family members.
Transcript
So I started to have suicidal thoughts. We came home in January, and January and February were the lowest of the low of this entire period. I was suicidal, I talked all the time to my husband about the fact that I think everyone would be better off without me, that I really thought it through and the baby would be better with another mom if he met another woman.
Now for my parents, my brother, my husband to hear this was beyond traumatic, but to somebody who is suffering from this, you have a distorted sense of logic and reasoning, and I was very, very frightened that I would do something. My family was very frightened, they didn’t know what to do. There didn’t seem to be somebody who really specialized in this to help me.
